WORCESTER-Rosemary T. Walsh, 60, of Worcester, lost her courageous fight against cancer on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She leaves her stepfather Joseph M. Brennan; four sisters, Patricia A. Walsh and her husband Ron Hewett of Worcester, Justine M. Walsh of Worcester, Francine H. Ryan and her husband Paul of Northborough and Suellen Lamothe of Worcester and a brother Michael A. Brennan and his wife Cheryl of Worcester. She also leaves three nephews, three nieces and two great nieces. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents John P. Walsh and Justine M. (Shea) Walsh-Brennan, and a brother John P. “Jackie” Walsh. She was born in Worcester and graduated from Doherty High School.
Rosemary had been employed by the Wingate of Worcester, formerly known as Heywood Valley Nursing Home and The Greenery, for 40 years as a Certified CNA. She was a caring and loving CNA; no nurse would have to worry about the patients that were assigned to Rosie because she was that good! She was a fan of all sports, especially the Patriots, Red Sox and golf. Rosie could light up any room and cheer up anyone’s mood with her sense of humor. She will be deeply missed but the memories will always continue to bring smiles to the faces that knew her.
Rosie’s family would especially like to thank Heidi Luopa, Rosie’s best friend, for all of her invaluable help to them. They would also like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff of UMASS Memorial-University Campus for the compassionate care in her time of need. Everyone please perform an act of kindness to another in Rosemary's memory.
