Theresa M. (Hurley) Godek, age 87, passed away on Oct. 5, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 29, 1928 in Chicopee and was a lifelong resident. Theresa cherished spending time with her family and loved living in Chicopee. She was the daughter of the late Charles P. and Theresa B. (Cooley) Hurley and was a communicant of St Anthony of Padua Church. She worked as a home health aide for various local agencies for many years before she retired. Theresa is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Frank F. Godek who passed away in 1999. She leaves four daughters Carol Mackechnie and Tom Panner of Baltimore, MD, Cheryl Curran and her husband Bruce of Blacksburg, VA, Maureen Caraker and her husband Stephen of Ludlow and Lori Fielding and her husband Greg of Holland, MA and one son, Stephen Godek and his wife Dawn of Wales, MA. She also leaves her 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Calling Hours will be held on the Morning of the Funeral, Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Memorial Mass in St Anthony of Padua Church at 11 A.M.
