Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, October 7, 2015, Mrs. Dawn Cato Tussey Richard, 55.
Mrs. Richard was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. She was a member of First Christian Church in Augusta and a teacher at Diamond Lakes Elementary.
Family members include mother: Catherine “Kitty” Cato; daughter: Terra T. Newsome and her husband Chris; son: Phillip G. Tussey and his wife Mindi; daughter: Kirsten A. Richard; son: K. Austin Richard; grandchildren: Hailey Newsome, Hunter Newsome and Brinley Tussey; brother: Andrew R. Cato, III and his wife Wendy; and her lifelong friends: Dete Crawford and Teri Fordham. She was preceded in death by her father: Andrew “Sonny” R. Cato.
A funeral service will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at First Christian Church with Rev. Keith Weekley officiating. Burial will follow in Historic Rosier Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryan Steele, David Beaver, Greg Harris, William Harris, James Harris, Wesley Harris, Steve Roberts, and Paul Cato. Honorary Pallbearers will be George Tussey, William P. Postell, Johnny Weaver, Carl White and Joe “Buck” McBurney.
