Laconia-----Herman L. Kimball Jr., 97, formerly of Meredith, NH, died at the Genesis Laconia Health Center on Monday, October 5, 2015. He was born in Meredith Center, NH on February 1, 1918, the son of the late Herman L. Sr. and Lillian (Tuttle) Kimball. He was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region.
Herman proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He worked many years at Scott & Williams in the experimental division. Later in life he worked as a tool and die maker for the NH Ball Bearing Company. He really loved the folks at the Laconia Senior Center and working on the Meals on Wheels program for many years.
Family members include his children Alan Kimball and his wife Gail of Belmont and Shelia Gagnon and her husband Arthur of Laconia, a step-daughter, Norma Forster of Miami, FL and a step-son Edward Morin of Dover, NH, nine grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Herman was preceded in death by his first wife Grace, second wife Marjorie and his third wife Cora; son Wayne Kimball; brothers Earl, Clyde and Harris Kimball and sisters Elaine Hunt and Marion Richardson.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
To the staff at Lakes Region General Hospital, the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all of your caring and support. Also, a special thank you to the staff at the Laconia Rehabilitation Center, "words cannot express our gratitude for your care and support of our loved one."
