Glenna Miller Kincaid, 89, of Tifton passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mrs. Kincaid will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 11, 2015, from 2:30 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Pate Kincaid, Matthew Kincaid, Jason Smith, Pat Puckett, Butch Barfield and Brannen Cummings will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult II Sunday school class of Tifton’s First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kincaid was born January 26, 1926, the daughter of Joseph William Miller and Alice Barfield Miller, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Kincaid; and a sister, Joeda Dixon. She retired from the First Community Bank of Tifton and was a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church and the Garden Club. She enjoyed working in her yard, designing floral arrangements and dancing. She also loved hosting family holidays and dinners and being with her grandchildren. She always had an adored cat and had a knack for attracting and caring for strays. She was a lifelong resident of Tifton.
Mrs. Kincaid is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Deborah Kincaid of Tifton and Jeff and Janet Kincaid of Atlanta; one sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Milton Scott of Lantana, Florida; six grandchildren and their spouses, Kristyn and Brannen Cummings of Atlanta, Pate and Rebecca Kincaid of Greenville, South Carolina, Holly Kincaid of Savannah, Matthew Kincaid, Jason Smith and Janna Smith, all of Atlanta; and four great-grandchildren.
