BUXTON- “Ja” Jacee Johnston, age 39, passed away on Oct. 7, 2015 in Gorham as a result of a car accident.
She was born in Brunswick, Maine on July 20, 1976. She attended schools in California and later graduated from the barbering and cosmetology program at Cosmotech.
Ja was a co-founder and employee of Shine Salon and Barber in Portland.
She enjoyed sewing, and was known for artistic abilities, especially with drawing.
Ja will always be remembered as a helpful and giving person who deeply loved her family and friends.
She is survived her beloved husband Todd Johnston; parents- Debra and Gilmour Brundage III of Buxton; father- James Cullum III of Durham; brother- James L. Cullum IV of Portland; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 3-5 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home's website – www.mainefuneral.com
