Obituary

Cecily Reohr, aged 9, died on October 6, 2015, two years after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Cecily loved laughter and jokes. She was an insatiable drawer, even upon the bathroom wall, and there was nothing she liked more than being immersed in a good story. Cecily had huge generosity of spirit. Although her disease gradually stripped her of many of the things that she held dear (the ability to hold a pencil, to walk and eventually to talk), she exhibited tremendous courage throughout and an immense zest for life. She died peacefully surrounded by her family, after a day out in the sunshine. She is survived by her parents and older sister Octavia. For a girl who was only nine, she was very much loved and will be missed and remembered by the many people whose lives she touched.

A funeral mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Wellesley will be held on Tuesday October 13 at 11 a.m.. Children are welcome. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, please consider a donation to one of the several institutions that were close to Cecily’s heart:
