Obituary

Ida (Pasqualino) Ruggiero, of Medford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday night. She was 92. Born and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francesca (Azzolino) and Angelo Pasqualino. A Medford resident for over 60 years, Ida was devoted to her family and loved her family more than anything else. She belonged to a bowling league and enjoyed spending time with friends. A devout woman she had the interests of others always in mind. Strong, yet gentle and generous, she was committed to caring for others and would often spend time with ailing neighbors, making sure they had a good meal.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Ruggiero. A devoted mother to Virginia Woolfson and her husband Marshall of Medford, Stephen Ruggiero of Natick, Fran Paone and her husband Chris of Watertown and her late son, James, she was a loving grandmother to Kristine Lane, Gianna, Mirella, and Anthony Ruggiero, Mikayla and Arianna Paone. The adored great grandmother to Brittany, Rhiannon and Shanae Lane she also leaves many dear nieces, nephews and relatives.

Ida’s Funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, October 10th at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in The Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 pm. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
