Obituary

Robert Henry Lee, 88, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was the husband of the late Ethel Lee, and father of the late Stephen Lee.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Robert Henry and Ida (Winman) Lee. He served in the United States Army during WW II before returning to Rhode Island. He worked for thirty years as a machinist at Brown and Sharpe, concluding his career as a teacher at Killingly High School for twenty years.

Robert was an active member of the Greystone Social Club, as well as a member of the American Legion, Balfour Cole Post #64. He could frequently be found visiting the Smithfield Senior Center, where he volunteered and would socialize with his many friends.

He is survived by his sister, Jennie Amison, his niece Jean Harrison, and her daughter, Julie, as well as many beloved friends. He was the brother of the late Mildred Scorpio. He will be sadly missed by all those who were privileged to have known him and who benefited from the many delicious meals and treats he cooked.

His funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 1pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home. Visitation Friday, October 23, 2015 12noon to 12:45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Smithfield Senior Center, 1 William J Hawkins Trail, Greenville, RI 02828.
