Manchester– Pauline M. (Leduc) Auger, 83, died October 3, 2015 at Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on May 24, 1932 the daughter of Sever and Germaine (Forgues) Leduc.
She graduated from grade school in Elmore, VT., and St. George High School in Manchester.
She attended beauty school and had been a hair dresser at Gabrielle’s Beauty Salon.
She was a former parishioner of St. Theresa Parish, current parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church and member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
On November 27, 1952 she married George Auger in St. Augustin Church. She was predeceased by her husband on September 30, 2002.
She was a kind, caring, compassionate person and friend to all. She was a caregiver to her father, mother, aunt, uncle and her husband until their death.
She enjoyed playing cribbage, family outings and was a great cook. Family and friends will all miss her Christmas Baklava & baskets of assorted pastries. She baked food and served meals at the Knights of Columbus Post 5260 where her husband George was a 4th Degree Knight.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Auger) Gagne and her husband, Marc who was like a son to her.
She also leaves a granddaughter, Michelle (Gagne) Devillers and her husband David and a great granddaughter, Sarah Devillers, a brother, Edward O. Leduc and his wife, Janet, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont St. Committal prayers will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
