Obituary

DITTO, Eugene Charles Of Easton formerly of Dedham, passed away after a valiant struggle with multiple sclerosis, September 30, 2015. Loving husband of Patricia A. (Stack). Loving father to Susan Brand and her husband James of Medfield and Alison Kustwan and her husband Louis of Westwood. Loving grampy to Owen and Caroline Brand and Tess and Julia Kustwan. Brother of Arthur Ditto and his wife Ann of Rye, NH and Peter and his wife Karen of South Natick. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Charlie was educated at Cardigan Mountain School and Vermont Academy and spent his last year at Brookline High where he met many lifelong friends. Charlie cherished his Brookline friends whose dedication to him was full of love and commitment. To name a few: Paul, Danny, David, Neil, the late John, and several others. Charlie was also a graduate of Northeastern University.

Although Charlie suffered from MS, that didn’t stop him from living his life to the fullest! He was active in the Veterans Games winning many medals for swimming. He loved skiing, watching college hockey, and hearing stories about his grandchildren.

Charlie was an inspiration to many during his courageous battle - he never once complained about his situation and always maintained a positive attitude. Anyone who was blessed enough to cross paths with him was impacted for the better. He will be missed by all he touched. We would like to thank the entire staff at the Brockton VA for their outstanding care and support allowing Charlie to live his life with dignity.
