Obituary

GEORGE T. TROTMAN of Hingham, formerly of Quincy, died on Tuesday, May 24th at Radius Health Care in Braintree. He was 86. He was born in Boston, where he spent his early life. He then lived in Quincy for 44 years before moving to Hingham in 1998 to be with his daughter and family. He was proud to have served his country during World War II in the United States Army infantry in Northern France, the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. For many years he was associated with the maintainance department of Harvard University, retiring at age 65. George was a lifelong Red Sox fan and was delighted to see them win the World Series last year.

Husband of the late Dorothy Trotman, he leaves his daughter, Donna Spruill and her husband Robert of Hingham, and Ted Trotman and his wife Aida of Seattle, WA.
Beloved grandfather of Erica Spruill Pearson and her husband Jeff of Hull, Benjamin Spruill of Rhode Island and Tristan Trotman of Seattle. Also survived by his brother, Alfred Trotman of Quincy and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, May 27th at 11 AM at the Pine Hill Cemetery, 815 Willard St., Quincy.
