Obituary

Frances Arnold Beyer, aged 96, died peacefully with her daughter at her side, on September 5, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, Rhode Island.

Born in Allentown, PA, Frances was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Arnold, and the wife of the late Norman E. Beyer.

An elementary school teacher in Allentown before marrying and moving to Moorestown, NJ, Frances also taught Home Economics at Moorestown Junior and Senior High Schools.

After retiring from teaching, Frances volunteered at Burlington County Memorial Hospital and in various hospice settings.

In 1992, in a desire to reside closer to her daughter and grandchildren, Frances moved to Rhode Island. There she worked for the Village at Waterman Lake, a community for seniors. An avid knitter and enthusiastic volunteer, Frances combined these two pursuits by knitting baby hats and blankets for hospitals in both NJ and RI.

A member of the Liberty Bell Chapter of DAR, Frances was a descendant of the Reverend John Waller, a Baptist minister who served the troops during the Revolutionary War.

Frances will be very much missed by her daughter, Frances B. Newbold of Glocester, RI, her grandson, Cooper D. Newbold of Denver, CO, and her granddaughter, Adeline F. Newbold, of Providence, RI.
