Robert J. “Bobby” Mello, 44 of Medford died Monday suddenly in the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital Melrose, MA.
Born in Malden, he lived in Medford all his life. Bobby was a Locksmith with Safemaster of Needham for 7 years and prior to that with the family business the former Malden Locksmith in Medford since 1980.
He was a graduate of Medford Vocational School class of 1979 and a graduate of the North Bennett Industrial School in Boston class of 1981.
Beloved husband of Mary E. (Alpers) Mello. Deovted father of Jared Mello of Medford. Cherished son of Maria (Sartorio) and Edward Mello of Medford. Brother of Paul Mello and his wife Irene of Wilmington, Julieanne Saniuk and her husband Chris of Kingston, and the late Richard Mello. Brother-in-law of Richard and Cheryl Alpers of Medford, Ronnie and Lisa Alpers of Wilmington, John and Sue Alpers of New Hampshire. Godfather of Christopher Saniuk. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 12 Noon followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 1 PM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 -9.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
