Gilford-----Sylvia J. Gamblin, age 70, of Sargents Place, Gilford, NH, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at her home. She was born on September 8, 1945 in Manchester, England, the daughter of the late Sylvio and Eunice Burby (Fletcher).
Sylvia loved spending time with her family and crocheting. She met many people and made many friends while socializing at the park and on her daily walks with her dog Makita. In her earlier years, Sylvia and her late husband of 23 years, Richard, enjoyed camping and going on motorcycle rides together.
Sylvia is survived by her six children, Sherry Dami of Laconia, Kevin Farwell and his wife Jody of Laconia, Tracey Cooper of Bristol, Sabrina Rouse of Manchester, Heather Stone and her husband Michael of Franklin and Matthew Rouse and his wife Jenn of Gilmanton I.W.; Siblings, Norman and Brian Burby, Suzanne Tilley and Yvette Reed; Sister in law Charlene McLean and her husband Bob; 18 grandchildren. and 11great grandchildren. Sylvia is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Aside from her parents and her late husband, Sylvia is predeceased by her brothers Michael and Frederick Burby and a great grandson Brenan Dami.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday Oct. 17, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the VFW Post 1670, 143 Court St., Laconia.
