Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 4-6 pm.
Obituary
Miss McCarthy died Tuesday morning at St. Joseph Manor following a brief illness. She was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Timothy and Ellen (Dineen) McCarthy and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1930. She retired in 1978 from the City of Brockton Assessors office after 30 years of service. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters. Miss McCarthy had been a longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church where she had been a member of the Ladies Sodality.
She was the sister of Catherine R. Powderly, Mary E. McCarthy and Timothy J. McCarthy all of Brockton.
