Laurence "Larry" Alan Drane, passed away in the afternoon on Monday September 28, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, CA. He was 64 years old.
Larry was born on April 5, 1951 in Ventura, CA. He was the first son of Beverly Ann (Carver) and Gerald S. Drane, and was a Ventura County resident for most of his life.
Larry had a life-long passion for anything on wheels. In addition to drawing and designing cars, he enjoyed attending car shows with his father and daughters, all kinds of car (and motorcycle and bicycle) racing, and most of all sharing his extensive knowledge on a myriad of subjects with family and friends.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Candace (Kandi), daughters Laurel and Chloe, and father Jerry.
He was preceded in death by his mother Beverly and brother David.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Saturday October 10, 2015 from 12Noon until 2pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Funeral Services will follow the visiting hours at 2pm in the Funeral Home's Chapel.
