Obituary

Gerard K. Lavallée, 85, of Manchester, died September 28, 2015, at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in Manchester, May 10, 1930, he was the son of Armand and Lina (Vaillancourt) Lavallée. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Gerard was a graduate of St. George School and St. Joseph High School for boys. He worked as a shipper in the shoe industry for over 30 years. In retirement, Gerard was a school crossing guard and devoted volunteer to the students and staff of Wilson St. School. He was very social and had a great sense of humor. Over all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Family members include his three daughters, Judith A. Lavallée and her partner Kevin Murray, of Manchester, Janice M. Theodore and her husband Jack, of Loudon, and Jacqueline M. Drouse of Concord; two sons, Joseph A. Lavallée and his partner Patricia Wolfhope, of Manchester, and Gerard R. Lavallée and his wife Kathleen of Boscawen; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren: one brother, Donald R. Lavallée and his wife Betty Anne of Hampton; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert Bourk and his wife Lucille, of Naples, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his best friends, Marlene and Roland Robidas. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Jeannette B. (Brouillard) Lavallée in 2002, as well as his brother Robert F. Lavallée.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, October 2, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish. Encryptment followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St, Manchester, NH 03104.
