Dorothy G. Nunley

Dorothy G. Nunley, 87, of Anderson, died Sunday morning, September 27, 2015 at Countryside Manor Health Care in Anderson.
She was born on September 15, 1928 in Anderson, the daughter of Stephen W. and Ruth Pauline (Groves) Genda. She was a 1946 graduate of Anderson High School. She was employed with Strock Hardware Store for 14 years . Prior to that she had worked at Anderson Mattress, in the cafeteria at College Corner School and at Anaconda Wire. She was a member of the Daleville Church of Christ, where she had served as a Bible Class teacher. She also was a collector of Red Fenton Glass.
She is survived by her two children; Mark (wife Nancy) Nunley of Daleville, and Marcia Liggett of Indianapolis, her two grandchildren; Paul (wife Lori) Nunley and Sarah Liggett, and 3 great grandchildren; Hannah, Ethan, and Connor Nunley. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald W. (wife Diane) Genda of Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Nunley in 2007, and two sisters, Katheryn Jane Jones and Carolyn Sue Bevars.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at East Maplewood Cemetery, officiated by Jim Vaughn.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday at Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service.
