Obituary

Jeanne L. Robidoux, 94, died Thursday at The Holiday in Manville. She was the loving wife of the late Lucien J. Robidoux. They were married on May 30, 1943 and shared over 57 years together until his passing in 2000.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late James and Odila (Charland) Badeau. She lived most of her life in Woonsocket and resided in Cumberland for over 10 years. She also enjoyed many winters in Florida and summer seasons in Narragansett.
Mrs. Robidoux worked at the House of Brides and Royal Robes and was later employed as a teacher’s aide with the Woonsocket schools.
Among Jeanne’s many talents and pursuits were dancing, painting, bicycling and her skill at tennis. Along with her husband she traveled to a number of places including Hawaii, Alaska, and the Panama Canal.
Jeanne will be remembered as a devoted mother and loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by two sons Conrad L. “Sonny” Badeau (Lt. W.F.D. Ret.) and his wife, Janet, of North Smithfield, and Roger Robidoux and his wife, Susan, of Hope Valley, a daughter Kim Laroche and her husband, Michael, of Cumberland. She was the mother of the late Carol Jean Robidoux. She was the sister of the late Conrad, Jean-Marie, Ferdinand, Clement, Marcel, Jean-Marc and Raymond Badeau, Alice Lemonde, Aurore Toupin, Cora Hebert and Laurette Badeau. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donnations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Walk for a Cure at Gillette Stadium “Team Jeanne”.
