Obituary

Aline Harper Leverett, 83, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Lax Holiness Baptist Church in Coffee County with the Rev. Steve Pickern and Rev. Terron Stonecypher officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 PM at The Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla, Georgia.

Mrs. Leverett was born September 6, 1932, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Elisha and Dessie Allen Harper. She lived in the community most of her life. She worked for Irwin Manufacturing in Ocilla and with Hardeeā€™s. Mrs. Leverett was known as the best biscuit maker.
She was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Shirley L. Register of Fitzgerald, Nancy L. Fondren and husband J.R. of Ocilla and Billy Leverett and wife Lisa of Ocilla; seven grandchildren, Chris Register, Larry (Bug) Register, Michael Fletcher, Paul Fletcher, Dawn Register, Michelle Fletcher and BJ Richert; eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two brothers: Ronald Harper of Ocilla and Charles Harper of Ocilla; three sisters: Margaret H. Railey of Ocilla, Mary H. Stover of Monroe, North Carolina and Alicia Harper of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Elzie Leverett; two sisters and five brothers.
