The family of Sue Ann D. (Longley) Lipsett expresses its deep sorrow at her passing on Thursday, September 24, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jocelyn Lipsett and her companion J.R. Lapointe of Fall River; her mother, Ardis Longley of Bloomingdale, NY; her father, Gordon Longley of Clearwater, FL; three sisters, Carmen Fields of Land O’Lakes, FL, Laura Achilles of Lake Mary, FL and Karen Buckman of Windsor, VT; three brothers, Craig Longley of New York City, Brian Longley and Peter Longley, both of Glen Burnie, MD; two brothers-in-law, Henry Fields and Robert Armstrong; four nieces; two nephews; five great nephews and one great niece.
She was born in Randolph, VT on May 23, 1955, went to Fairhaven High School, and worked as a medical secretary and as a store manager before poor health required her to stop. She enjoyed gardening, music and travel. Her love and laughter will be greatly missed.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 12 Noon in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her family will receive guests on Friday morning from 9 AM - 12 Noon prior to her service. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
