LACONIA – Nadja (Nemcovich) Lemay, 94, of 276 Gilford Ave, died Monday, September 21, 2105 at Genesis Laconia Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on September 6, 1921 in Claremont, NH, the daughter of the late Alexander and Stefanida Nemcovich. Nadja worked for many years as a secretary for the New Hampshire Department of Employment Security, for Globe Department Store and also the State of New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game.
Survivors include a son, Allen Lemay, and his wife, Lorrie, of Merrimack, six grandchildren, Joshua Lemay and his wife Kristin and Matthew Lemay and his wife Rachael, all of Bedford, Cory Lemay of Merrimack, Colby Gaines of Laconia, Conlee Gaines of Laconia and Chandler Gaines of Belmont; two great grandsons; Alexander and Cameron Lemay and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lemay was predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, Robert A. Lemay in 2014, a son, Dennis Lemay, a daughter, Janice Gaines, and her siblings; Michael Nemcovich, Olga Nemcovich, Vera Lamb and Ann Paradise.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. Calling hours will also be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 9AM to 10AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30AM at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 100 Academy Street, Laconia.
Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia.
