Fall River – Joyce E. Tripp, 47, of Fall River, formerly of Westport died Sunday, May 22, 2005 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was the fiancé of Robert Peckham of Fall River.
She was born in Acushnet, daughter of Harold F. and Norma C. (Vaughan) Tripp of Westport, and had resided in Fall River for the past 2 years. A Westport High School graduate, she graduated from LaBaron Hairdressing Academies of New Bedford and was employed as a hairdresser for Shear Style of Westport. She was a sports enthusiast. She was a member of Westport United Congregational Church, Westport.
Including her parents and fiancé, she is survived by a son: Matthew Kandarian of Pawtucket, RI; a daughter: Corey Kandarian of Fall River; 7 brothers: Harold F. Tripp, Jr. of Westport, Carl F. Tripp of Westport, Frederick L. Tripp of Bowdoin, ME, Gary A. Tripp of New Bedford, Glenn S. Tripp of Westport, Steve Piva of Fairhaven and Mike Piva of New Bedford; 2 sisters: Carol F. Tripp of Westport and Cynthia Costa of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, May 26, 2005 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment will be private.
