In Taunton, September 19, 2015, Michael V. Tonry, age 51, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Michael was born in Taunton, the beloved son of Richard M. and Lorraine F. (Nieviera) Tonry. Michael was a 1996 graduate of Bridgewater State College. He was a member of the Phi Pi Delta Fraternity, and a former member of Toast Masters.
Michael enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephews, fishing, reading and writing poetry, of which he was published.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sisters Kathy Tonry and her spouse Lesa Strachan, MaryCarol Borisoff and her husband John, Elizabeth Bird and her husband William, nephews Mason and Nathaniel, niece Olivia, several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Arrangements will be through the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday September 26, 2015 from 12-2. Relatives and friends are welcome. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
