David Paul Leonard (1946-2015)
Dave Leonard played his last round of golf September 22 at Olivas Links after collapsing on the course from a heart attack on the 12th hole. He had a 37 year career as a civil servant for the US Department of Navy, Point Mugu. Dave enjoyed traveling, golfing, tutoring at Blanchard Community Library and serving as treasurer for the Altrusa Foundation of San Buenaventura.
Dave is survived by his wife of 44 years Susan Leonard. He also leaves behind his daughter Robyn Neal and granddaughter, Nicole Neal; daughter and son in law Sarah and Carl Whorton, and their children Ryan and Nora. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Baleme, her husband Dan and daughter Jenny; Susan Butkus and her children Christine and Paul Michael; sister in law Lynn Lubansky; sister and brother in law Donna and Chad Slattery.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 8, 2015 from 4 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura. Memorial service will be held Friday Ocotber 9, 2015 at 11am at Olivas Adobe, 4200 Olivas Park Dr, Ventura.
