Paul J. Tremaine, 67, of Berlin, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday September 20, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 16, 1948 the son of the late Normand and Theresa (Routhier) Tremaine, was raised in Berlin and was a 1966 graduate of Notre Dame High School. Paul was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion in Gorham and the Hundred Club of New Hampshire. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and one of his greatest joys was being with his family. Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the shipping department for Gorham Paper & Tissue.
Members of the family include his son Stephen Tremaine and his fiancée Vicki Valerino of Berlin; two grandchildren Holly Switser of Lyndonville, VT and Hannah Tremaine of Gorham, NH; two great grandchildren; Jacob and Jaxson; a brother Richard Tremaine and his wife Doreen of Berlin; two sisters Helen Couture of Georgia and Irene Winnen and husband Lawrence of California; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years Carol A. (Rollins) Tremaine on June 9, 2015 and a brother in-law Paul Couture.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Friday September 25, 2015 at 10 AM in the chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. There will be no calling hours. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in his memory to a charity of one’s choice.
