Viviane R. (Goulet) Gaffney, 84, of Worcester, died Monday, September 21st at home. Her husband of 46 years, William G. Gaffney died in 2002. She leaves five sons, Michael W. Gaffney and his wife Ann Marie, Thomas J. Gaffney and his wife, Kathleen all of Worcester, Joseph P. Gaffney and his wife, Pauline of Paxton, Paul F. Gaffney and his wife, Sheila of Leicester and Stephen W. Gaffney and his wife, Christine of Worcester; two daughters, Patricia M. Webster and her husband, Richard of Worcester and Viviane M. Dumas and her husband, Fran of Webster; seventeen grandchildren; two great-granddaughters and many nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Lorraine Fortson and Constance Bilodeau predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph A. and Eva M. (Lapierre) Goulet. Mrs. Gaffney was a long time member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; and will be missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral is Wednesday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. the day of the funeral at the Church.
