Northfield------Alfred G. Woodman, 94, of 25 Spring St., died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen.
Mr. Woodman was born September 4, 1921 in Northfield, N.H., the son of the late Clarence J. and Marion (Stone) Woodman. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He lived in Perryville, Mo., for several years before moving back to Northfield. He had been employed by Gourmet Foods in Missouri and Illinois and was a salesman of construction equipment in the Midwest for fifty-four years, retiring in 1999. He also owned a pet sales and grooming business.
Mr. Woodman was a member of the Sanbornton Historical Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Woodman is predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Mildred P. (Sedlak) Woodman, and lifetime friend Lucie H. B. Brown of Sanbornton, N.H. He is survived by a brother, Arthur S. Woodman and his wife Rosemary of Londonderry, N.H; nephews Eric J. Woodman and his wife Lynne of Allenstown, N.H, and David A. Woodman of New York City; and several cousins in Sanbornton, N.H.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on a later date at Park Cemetery in Tilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC, S.G. Window Fund, 21 Meeting House Hill Road, Sanbornton, N.H. 03269.
