George F. Johnson, 58, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, September 19, 2015, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Fussell officiating. Interment will follow in the Willacoochee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Johnson was born October 22, 1956, in Pearson, Georgia, to the late George Reuben & Hattie Wright Johnson. He was a self-employed mechanic with J & S Services and he owned and operated J’s Parking Lot Cleaning. Mr. Johnson was a member of Midway Church of God.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Lamar & Tammy Johnson of Fitzgerald and Tina (Malachi Boney) Johnson of Fitzgerald; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings: Jasper & Kathy Lott of Calhoun, William Powell of Tennessee, Linda Fay Hester of Cordele and Louise Watkins of Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant children: George Lee Johnson and Brenda Victoria Johnson and a sister Mousey Keeler.
