Mrs. Lorraine B. (Barnaby) Theroux, of Taunton, died Thursday, September 17 in Marian Manor following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Armand Theroux. She was born 84 years ago in Fall River, the daughter of the late John B. and Clarilda (Jodoin) Barnaby. She was educated in Fall River and had been a Taunton resident for over 50 years. Prior to her retirement, Lorraine had been employed as a payroll clerk for Reed and Barton Silversmiths for 10 years. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and the A.A.R.P. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles and sports. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 daughter: Denise J. Wilkins and her husband, Scott of No. Dighton; 2 sisters: Irene Levesque of Fall River, and Yvette Gagnon of Westport; 2 grandchildren: David and Allison Wilkins, both of No.Dighton, and several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was also the sister of the late Ely, Norman, Roger, Rene, Alfred and Ernest Barnaby.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Tuesday, September 22 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will be held prior to the funeral, Tuesday, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.
