Obituary

Raymond P. Maillett of Reading, formerly of Rumford, Maine passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at his home. He was 83 years of age.

Born in Rumford, Maine, Raymond was a longtime resident of Reading. Raymond was a dedicated security officer for Addison Wesley for many years. He was a devoted family man. His family was first and foremost in his life.

Raymond was a loyal volunteer for the American Red Cross. He was a longtime member of the Reading V.F.W. During World War II, Raymond proudly defended our freedom in the United States Army.

Raymond was the beloved husband of 56 years to Lillian M. (Arsenault) Maillett. He was the devoted father of Joyce Paquette, Janet Fitzmeyer, Alan Maillett, David Maillett, Ann Gentile, Gail Abbott and Glen Maillett. Raymond was the cherished grandfather of 10.

Funeral from the Joseph Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Raymond’s life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
