Gladys Fussell Griswold, 89, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla.
Private graveside memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Griswold was born November 13, 1925, in Miami, Florida, to the late Lewis & Mildred Green Fussell. She was the dietary supervisor working for Dorminy Medical Center for over 30 years. She attended Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William J. “Jimmy” & Martha Griswold of Fitzgerald; three grandchildren: Sonja & Scott Morris and Johanna & Tommy Davis, Jr., all of Ocilla and Scott & Heather Tyson of North Augusta, South Carolina; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Joan Hall and Gail Latham, both of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Bill” Griswold; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Griswold; a sister, LaJean Mercier; and a brother, L.T. Fussell.
