Obituary

James B. Holland, age 66, of Brockton, formerly of Fall River, died December 1, 2014 at Good Samaritan Medical Center following a period of failing health. Jim was born in Boston, son of the late James A. Holland and Regina C. (MacDonald) Herrick. He was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain, later moved to Colorado and joined the Navy; veteran of Vietnam. He told many “wild and funny” stories in his lifetime.
Jim leaves behind his brother, William R. Buckley (Foxboro, MA) and sisters, Sheila D. Kerr (N Attleboro, MA), Mary R. Holland (Denver, CO), Kathleen A. DeFilippo (Mansfield, MA), and Constance E. Paquin (Denver, CO), as well as the late Christine Buckley, George Buckley, Mary Smith and Janine VanSant.
“Uncle Jimmy” leaves his beloved nieces Aileen and Tanya, along with many other nieces and nephews, great nephews (Devin, Jaden, Anthony and Joseph, great niece, Antonia Marie (Toni) and many other great and great-great nieces, nephews and their families.
Everyone loved Jim. He had many friends throughout the country. His very best friend in life was his sister, Kathy, who unconditionally loved, respected and cared for him. Kathi and Jim were like Irish Twins (inseparable); Jimmy’s interpretation of “Hansel & Gretel”.
Private Services were held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
