Anita L. Huse, 71, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 3, 1944 in Malden, MA, a daughter of the late Granville and Margaret (Foster) Robinson. Anita graduated from Melrose Wakefield Hospital School of Nursing and later earned her Doctorate from Regis College. Anita worked as a NICU Nurse at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and was also a clinical instructor for Regis College. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau and Sigma Epsilon Rho Honor Societies. Anita's passion was to give back to her community through volunteering. Organizations she was involved with include The Upper Room, a Family Resource Center, P.E.O, Family Promise, the Sonshine Soup Kitchen as well as many others. Throughout her life, Anita was recognized for her compassion and generosity and received various awards. Among them include the Mother of the Year Award from a Boston law office, New England Patriots Community MVP Award, and the Bill Burke Award from The Upper Room. Another joy in Anita's life was spending time with her family and precious grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, David S. Huse Sr. of Londonderry; two daughters, Christine Templeton and husband Brian of Goffstown, NH and Kimberly Bavaro and husband James of Litchfield, NH; step-daughter, Mary Kelley and husband Michael of Wilmington, MA; step-son, David Huse, Jr. of Nashua, NH; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, Jack G. Robinson and wife Jackie of Delaware, and cousin, Loretta Porter of Lexington, MA. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Robinson formerly of Bowie, MD and sister Margaret E. Robinson, formerly of Indiana.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in Anita's honor at the First Parish Congregational Church, 47 East Derry Road, East Derry, NH, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 am, reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PEO, C/O Marjorie Cooper, 39 Sawgrass Circle, Londonderry, NH 03053 or to The Upper Room, 36 Tsienneto Rd, Derry, NH 03038. Burial service is private. Please note: Lilies are not permitted in the church due to severe allergies of one of the church staff members.
