Marie Rose Downey, 76 of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Wilmington, MA. died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. She was born February 16, 1939 in Boston, MA. and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Phyllis (Faine) Pucci. She was raised and educated in Roxbury, MA and was a 49 year resident of Wilmington, MA, prior to relocating to Londonderry, 1 year ago.
Mrs. Downey was a homemaker who enjoyed ceramics, arranging flowers and loved to keep busy. Marie had a knack for fixing things and was a real “Jacqueline of all trades”.
Members of the family include her son and his wife, Kenneth, Sr. and Slavica Downey of S. Glens Falls, NY, her grandson and his wife, Kenneth, Jr. and Natasha Downey of Argyle, NY, and a great grandson, Lucas Downey. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick Downey in 2000 and by her daughter Donna in 1966.
A funeral service was held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch, Derry. Burial followed in the Wildwood Cemetery of Wilmington, MA. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
