Obituary



Patricia Rose (Landry) Hume age 73 of Onset, formerly of Brockton, died Friday Sept. 11, 2015 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. Patricia was born and raised in Brockton and was the daughter of the late Henry P. and Rose M. (Silvi) Landry. For the past 14 years she resided in Onset, MA.
Patricia attended Sacred Heart School in Brockton. Patrica was a bartender at the Rathskellar in the former Capeway Manor in Brockton for many years. She was a talented woman as an avid and accomplished painter who exhibited her work on the Cape and at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton. She loved writing poetry and dreaming of traveling. She was known to many by her home-made jellies and jams which she truly enjoyed making for special people. She also volunteered at the Brockton Hospital.
Patricia was a religious woman who was committed to her children and grandchildren. Her greatest and most proud achievement was being an accomplished mother who took great pride in the successes of her four children.
Patricia was the devoted mother of Charles H. Hume, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Wareham, Cynthia Rose Cindric and her husband Mark of Hull, William J. Hume and his wife Sandra of St. Petersburg, FL and Thomas J. Hume and his partner Robert M. McCulley of West Barnstable. She leaves 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. She was the sister to Wilfred Landry of Brooklyn, NY; Henry Landry, Jr. of Brockton, Joseph Landry of Lutz, FL and the late Michael Landry.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday 4-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30am for a Service of the Divine Liturgy at 10:30am in St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church, Brockton. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
