LEICESTER: Elaine R. (Wernholm) Klosek 74, in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Thursday, Sept. 10 at home surrounded by her family.
She leaves her son William M. Klosek and his wife Margaret "Meg" and her daughter Lynn McKiernan, all of Cherry Valley, her brother John Wernholm and his wife Mary of Worcester, sisters Joyce Smith and her husband David of W.Boylston and Bonnie Desautels and her husband Kevin of Homosassa Fla., three grandchildren Jacob Klosek and Alison and Thomas McKiernan, several nieces and nephews.
Elaine was born in Holden, the daughter of Nils and Rose (Kasperczk) Wernholm. She lived in Cherry Valley most of her life as devoted mother and grandmother. Elaine was employed by Worcester Insurance before retiring to assist in caring for her grandson Jacob. The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice, especially her nurse Karen, for her compassionate care of Elaine and her family.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester. A calling hour will precede the service from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday.
