Goffstown– Violette “Vi” T. Garon, 88, died September 8, 2015 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born in W. Hartford, CT. on August 24, 1927 the daughter of Alcide and Gladys (Lipska). Her grandparents, Alphonse and Clara Bourque were instrumental in her upbringing.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for Feretti’s and Rich’s Department store.
She was a member of the St. Peter Church Prayer group. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.
Family members include her husband of 67 years, Roger Garon of Goffstown, a daughter, Theresa Brodeur and her husband, Armand of Litchfield, a sister in law, Lucille Bourque of Manchester, one nephew, two nieces and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred “Freddie” Bourque and her godchild, Alan Bourque.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the care the Hillsborough Country Nursing Home provided for Vi, especially, Floor C3.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Peter Church, Auburn.
Committal prayers will follow in NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
