Obituary

Elaine M. Lennon, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Thursday, September 8, 2015. She was 69 years of age. Elaine was the beloved wife of Dr. Paul J. Lennon. Born in Woburn she was one of seven children of the late George and Gladys (Doucette) Olson.

Elaine was a 1964 graduate of Woburn High School. Following high school Elaine attended and graduated from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston. She worked as a dental hygienist for the next 47 years. Family was Elaine's main focus in life and as a devoted mother and grandmother she was always fully involved in her children's and grandchildren's different activities at school, church or on the field. She never missed an event. Elaine cherished spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking day trips with friends and family and also enjoyed family vacations, spending time by the ocean together with those she loved.

In addition to her husband, Elaine is survived by her children; Susan Mogauro and her husband Jamie, Dennis Dooley, Dr. Joseph Dooley and his wife Shannon, Dr. Paul J. Lennon Jr., Peter J. Lennon and his wife Dawn, David J. Lennon and his wife Catina, Michael S. Lennon and his wife Ellen, all of Woburn, and the late Mark E. Lennon. She was the loving grandmother of Chris, Emily and Allison Mogauro, Dillon, Jake and Chad Dooley, Cheyanne, Peter Jr., Jack, David Jr., Maria, Christian and Juliana Lennon. Sister of Eleanor Mooney and her husband Jack of Burlington, George Olson and his wife Beverly of Woburn, Alfred Olson and his wife Susan of NH, Jim Olson and his wife Cathy of Woburn, David Olson and his wife Bonnie of VT, and the late Larry Olson. She is also survived by her cherished cousin, Mary Rainsberger of Miami, FL, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, September 12th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions in Elaine's memory may made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, c/o Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102 Danvers, MA 01923.
