Lucille B. Auclair, 99, formerly of Woonsocket died Monday at St. Antoine Residence.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Pierre and Aline (Langlais) Barras. She raised her family in Woonsocket and later lived in California and Las Vegas for many years before returning to Woonsocket.
In her younger years she was employed in the local textile industry at the French Worsted mill and several other firms.
Mrs. Auclair was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son Raymond A. Auclair of Woonsocket, 7 grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Rene Jr., Roger, and Robert Auclair and Jacqueline Gallant. She was the sister of Andre Barras of Woonsocket and the late Peter, Lucien, Paul, Oscar, Adrien and Victor Barras, Rita Guillet and Olivette Dubois. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 8:30-9:45 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
