WORCESTER-Florence A. “Cis” (Alfreds) Tisdell, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 8th in the Life Care Center, Auburn surrounded by her loving family after a short but courageous battle with Lymphoma.
Her husband, of 53 years, Norman A. Tisdell Jr. passed in 2007. She leaves seven children, Mark Tisdell of Worcester, Norman A. Tisdell, III and wife Marie of Webster, Lisa McCullough and husband Kevin of Ludlow, Michael Tidell and wife Mary of Worcester, Traci O’Brien and husband Joseph of Worcester, Kim Floser of Millbury, and Kelley Saucier and husband Edward of Auburn; nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Robert and Stephen Alfreds; three sisters, Sandra Kirkorian, Lillian Macaruso and Winifred Entwhistle as well as many nephews and nieces. Six siblings predeceased her.
Florence was born in Worcester, daughter of Richard and Florence (Johnson) Alfreds and graduated from Commerce High School. She worked as an office manager for Dr. Raymond P. Trottier Chiropractors and Associates before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Cis enjoyed spending summer days on the beaches of Cape Cod, gardening, bowling, baking for her family and spending time with any and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid fan of all New England sports and professional golf. She was especially fond of the Celtics. She will be deeply missed.

The funeral will be held on Monday, September 14 from Callahan~Fay~Cawell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, September 13 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
