Martha Lorraine Horne, age 70 of Ocilla, Georgia and formerly of Hawkinsville, Georgia, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until service time at the graveside.
Ms. Horne was born October 30, 1944 in Pulaski County, Georgia, to the late Lonnie C. and Jenny Ola Inez Beeland Horne. She formerly worked at Goody’s Hair Product Manufacturer in Eastman, Georgia; and was a member of Hartford Baptist Church. She loved caring for her family and friends. In her spare time, she loved doing word search puzzles, playing card games and watching television.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces: Tommy Elaine Upchurch and Bill Bright (Bonnie) of Benton, Arkansas; Donnie Cline (Pat), Jeff Cline, Lonnie Cline and Lawrence Cline (Leona) all of Fitzgerald, Georgia; Steve Justice (Daisy) of Chester, Georgia; Ronnie Richey of Eastman, Georgia; Tammy Wright (Andy) of Ocilla, Georgia; James Walker, Sheila Walker and Jenny Walker (Jerome) of Ocilla, Georgia. She is also survived by many great and great great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Opal Bright, Barbara Cline, Mary Richey, and Doris Walker as well as two nephews: Wayne Bright and Michael Walker.
