Obituary

Mrs. Lillian Y. (Cayer) Grenier, formerly of Taunton, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at the Life Care Center of Raynham on Saturday, September 5, 2015. She was the wife of the late Armand Grenier. She was born in Taunton on March 6, 1923, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Fagan) Cayer. She was educated in Taunton and had been a city resident for most of her life. Lillian was a long time silverware inspector for Reed and Barton Silversmiths for 32 years. She was a member of the Golden Agers, the Reed and Barton Quarter Century Club, the Olney Street Knitting Club and the former Friendly Senior Citizens Club. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Parish in Taunton.
Lillian is survived by her sons: Michael Grenier and his wife, Pauline of Bridgewater, and Normand Grenier and his spouse, David Kraemer of Lakeville. She was the grandmother of Jeannette Chiocca of Bridgewater, Renee Parker of Alabama, Neil Grenier of Taunton and Erin Latour of New Hampshire. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Connor and Cade Chiocca of Bridgewater, and Cameron and Caleb Grenier of Taunton. Lillian is also survived by her sister, Anita Falk and her family of Livonia, Michigan.
Lillian’s family would like to thank the kind and caring staff of the Raynham Life Care Center.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Thursday, September 10 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton Street, Taunton, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, E. Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
