DUDLEY – Anne P. Ankiewicz, 91, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Webster Manor after a short illness. Her husband of 34 years, Zigmond E. “Ziggy” Anikiewicz, died in 1981.
She leaves nieces and nephews, including her caregivers Patricia A. Allison and her husband Chet, their children Jacqueline St.Cyr and her husband Michael, Erin Pflasterer and her husband J.P., a great-great-nephew Ciaran, and Marlene Girardin and her husband Richard; she also leaves, great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley, Benjamin, Chester and John Laskowski and by a sister, Stella Krok.
She was born in Dudley, daughter of Adam and Aniela (Stawiecka) Laskowski and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1942.
Mrs. Ankiewicz retired as the supervisor of the shipping room at Webster Lens Company, where she had worked for 43 years. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and being with her family.
The funeral will be held Thursday, September 10, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster, with a Mass at noon in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home.
