James Leon “Jimmy” Hamblett, age 61, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his home in Water Valley, MS. He was born October 14, 1953 in Water Valley, MS to the late Hervis Hubert and Evelyn Black Hamblett. Jimmy worked as a lineman at Holley Carburetor, where he retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Ole Miss fan. Jimmy loved his great-niece, Ellie, his cat, Cuddles, and spending time with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS.
Jimmy is survived by his nephew, Brad (Audrey) Camp of Oxford, MS; his great-niece, Evelyn “Ellie” Victoria Camp of Oxford, MS; and his brother-in-law, Daniel Fowler of Kosciusko, MS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara C. Fowler.
