Obituary

Joan E. (Dolliver) LeBlanc, of Webster and formerly a long time resident of Natick, passed away at home with her loving family at her side on Friday, September 4, 2015, at the age of 84. She was the loving wife of the late Gerard J. LeBlanc with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

A daughter of the late Clayton Dolliver and Beulah (Arenburg) Dolliver, Mrs. LeBlanc, the youngest of four children, grew up in Cambridge. She graduated from Rindge & Latin High School’s class of 1950. Soon after Joan’s marriage to Gerard, the couple settled in Natick where they raised their family.

While living in Natick, Joan worked at the Leonard Morse Hospital as an operating room technician. She worked at the hospital for 25 years. In her early years Joan and Gerry were often found square dancing at the 4th of July parade in Natick. Going from yard sales to yard sale and solving crossword puzzles were also hobbies which she much enjoyed. Being an avid fan of the Red Sox, she always followed the games whenever she could. Joan’s cooking and baking was always welcomed by her family and friends. Without doubt, time spent with her family, especially with grandchildren, of which she was very proud, brought her the most pleasure. Each of them had a special place in her heart.

Mrs. LeBlanc is survived by her three children, Stephen J. LeBlanc and his wife Hattie Matthews of Sedro Wooley,WA, Denise Itzkowitz and her husband Jon of Webster and Edward LeBlanc of Rutland. She is also survived by her grand-children, Tony Marucci, Chris Showstead and his wife Erin, Kimberly Showstead and her fiancé Anthony Hennessy, all of whom she adored very much, and great grand-children, Hailey Hennessey, Dominic Hennessey and Jayden Hennessey. Joan was pre-deceased by her siblings, Helen Cardarelli and John, Loretta Nordstrom and Carl, and Clayton Dolliver Jr. and Carol.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday, September 9 at 10:00 A.M. from the John Everett & Sons & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common followed by a Graveside Funeral Service at Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood Street, Natick at 11:00 A.M.
