Obituary

Charles A. Lariviere, 80, of New Bedford died September 6, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
He was the former husband of Claire C. (Loiselle) Lariviere of New Bedford.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Albert and Yvonne (Lamoureux) Lariviere, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before moving to Freetown.
Mr. Lariviere was formerly employed as a pharmacist in New Bedford for many years until retirement.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and the outdoors. Mr. Lariviere served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
His family would like to thank the staff at Sacred Heart Home for the compassionate care that Charlie received from them.
Survivors include his former wife; 2 sons, Michael Lariviere and his wife Cynthia of Dartmouth and Kevin Lariviere and his wife Kerri of East Freetown; a daughter, Nicole Britland and her husband Kevin of New Bedford; a sister, Claire Sylvia of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Diane Girouard.
His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, September 8th from 4-8 PM.
