Iantha “Pete” Dean Roberts, age 88, of Ocilla, died, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Shiloh Personal Care Home in Ocilla, Georgia
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 7, 2015 at Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Charles Tyson officiating and Tara R. Spivey giving the eulogy . Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Irwin County, December 8, 1926 to the late Henry Fletcher Dean and Sarah Louise Benton Dean. She was a homemaker and a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Shiloh Personal Care Home in Ocilla; Mrs. Roberts enjoyed cooking, going to church and reading; she was a long time member of Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law: Elder Harold L. Roberts and wife Judy of Douglas; a daughter, Debbie R. Newsome of Ocilla; four grandchildren: Tate Roberts, Tara R. Spivey, Robby Roberts and Donya R. Tomberlin; five brothers, Henry F. Dean, Jr., Ralph Dean, Bobby Dean, Horace Dean and Lanny Dean. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Roberts; son, Raymond Carroll Roberts, Sr.; a brother, Jackie Dean.
