Mary Elizabeth Doherty, age 88 of Hyde Park, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed peacefully with family at her side on September 5, 2015. She is joining her parents Charles and Sarah (Doherty) Doherty, her brothers, Roger, Owen, Bernard and Michael Doherty and her sisters, Eleanor Smigrocki, Cassie Julius and Sadie Hayden. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. A woman strong of faith, she led a blameless life, which deserves true honor, love and respect. A Funeral Service will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Wednesday Sept. 9, 2015 at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may visit with her family at the funeral home from 11AM until 12:45 PM prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery. A memorial Mass is also being planned at St. John Chrysostom Church, West Roxbury.
